We are repairing the Prologis island, which has been absolutely battered by boat wake.
Thanks to everyone who helped with the initial installation of the floating breakwater!
We had a last minute corporate service day cancelation, and that means we can tackle the finishing touches right away. We'll leave from the Wild Mile dock at around 1PM tomorrow, but if you show up closer to 12:00 or 12:30, there will be plenty of items to load onto the boat. The shift is scheduled till 6. I'm hoping we well be back on land way before then, but it could also possibly be as late as 7. I'll bring water and a few snack bars, but you should probably have lunch before we go.
The tasks once we get down to Prologis will be:
- Add at least 1,000 pounds of rock to the floating breakwater
- Change up the way the floating breakwater is secured to add some extra redundancy and ensure that it doesn't twist in a bad way on low water days
- Patch a couple areas of the liner on the garden
- Add a bunch of LECA and mulch to the garden
- Add a bunch of plants to the garden
- Maybe add one additional anchor line to the island
