Our Mission is to transform urban waterways into urban wildlife sanctuaries to provide an opportunity for residents of all backgrounds to connect with nature in new and meaningful ways.
What We Do
Our volunteers are known as River Rangers. They come from all backgrounds but have one thing in common - they make a huge difference! We rely on our team of dedicated volunteers to support garden installation, garden maintenance, research, and overall keep the Wild Mile and the Chicago River clean.
