Odd Jobs Shift: Chip'n 'N Chainsaw'n

You may have noticed, or even helped build, the massive pile of tree branches where Blackhawk Street meets the river. That's the future home of the next ramp down to the Wild Mile and a small green space on land. The branches are from all the invasive trees we cleared from that area recently. 

The plan is to rent a chipper and break everything down. The largest logs will need to be chainsawed into more manageable sizes and set aside for future fish habitat use. We may construct a large compost bin out of pallets rather than just leave the chips in a pile. We will also likely tackle a large pile of discarded hibiscus canes closer to REI.
